Message: We Can’t Help It
Speaker: Greg Holder
When all the people saw him walking and praising God, they recognized him as the same man who used to sit begging at the temple gate called Beautiful, and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him. Acts 3:9-10
The priests and the captain of the temple guard and the Sadducees came up to Peter and John while they were speaking to the people. They were greatly disturbed because the apostles were teaching the people, proclaiming in Jesus the resurrection of the dead. Acts 4:1-2
The religious leaders thought they would hear no more about Jesus once he was crucified. After a great miracle and Peter's bold message, they put Peter and John in prison and insisted they never speak of Jesus again.

DISCUSSION
Peter, full of the Holy Spirit, gives a great message to the religious leaders. What in his message stands out to you?
Peter makes a bold statement in verse 12. This is often controversial.
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.
DISCUSSION
What is the significance of that statement? Is this or has this ever been a difficult statement for you?
Peter and John are told not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus. They responded:
As for us, we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard. Acts 4:20
DISCUSSION
What has Jesus done in your life that you cannot stop telling others? Or perhaps you have seen what He has done for others that has drawn you to Him.
