1. Read Mark 4:35-41 and Luke 7:1-10. What details stick out? What do you notice about Jesus' authority?
2. What do you think it meant that Jesus taught "as one who had authority?" (Matthew 7:29)
3. How do you do with the reality that people come at things differently than you? Whether it is how to write an "x" or something weightier, how do you do?
4. Why can it be difficult to talk about healing?
5. What do you make of the claim, "I cannot imagine living without hope?"
