As you are enjoying your Thanksgiving meal on Thursday, what will be the item on your plate you are most thankful for?
How might Thanksgiving be the catalyst for how you show gratitude throughout the entire advent season?
Psalm 121:1 says, "I lift up my eyes to the hills -- where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth" When you're in season of challenge or needing help, are you more apt to look up to the Lord or put your head and down and slog your way through it?
Although we should never expect anything in return for being generous, have you ever experienced the "virtuous cycle" researchers talk about. How can you be part of this kind of generosity this advent season?
Greg mentioned a few specific points in his message - 1. Notice God's Care for You 2. Be Generous 3. Get Yourself a Musician 4. Work on Your Memories - which of these do you feel has the greatest potential to help you experience more gratitude in your life today?
Psalm 139:7 says, "Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence?"
Joshua 1:9 says, "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."
How would your daily life change if you truly believed God is ALWAYS aware, present, and caring?

Jesus - you are holy and the only one worthy of our worship and yet you care for us beyond our wildest imaginations. Remind us that all good things come from you. Remind us that when the messiness of life happens that you work all things for good and your glory. Despite our sinful nature and our propensity to do things our own way, you are ever faithful in how you love us and take care of us each and every day. Thank you for being such a kind and loving father who never stops pursuing us. AMEN
